In 1958, agricultural engineer and biochemist André Melchior discovered Pianto and Bio-St-Joseph, a unique combination of plant extracts that could reverse the negative effects of post-war malnutrition and magnesium-deficient soil and food. Together with his brother Roger, they put their findings into practice and launched the Pianto-Biotic method.

Both Pianto and Bio-St-Joseph have nutritional value in their own right, but complement each other in their action when used in combination, helping to correct dietary imbalances by emulating nature's wholesome goodness.
